The map is nowcasted to be valid at the moment specified by the time variable. The input data used to generate the map originates between the time_coverage_start and time_coverage_end global attributes. Analysts at the United States National Ice Center (USNIC) use a variety of geostationary and polar orbiting satellite imagery, derived products, in situ, and other data sources to interactively create the map. The system has produced daily analyses from February 1997 to Dec 2014, and twice daily analyses since.\n\ncdm_data_type = Grid\nVARIABLES (all of which use the dimensions [time][y][x]):\nIMS_Surface_Values (IMS maps of 0: no data, 1:open water, 2:land, 3:sea/lake ice, 4:snow cover for the Northern Hemisphere)\n | https://polarwatch.noaa.gov/erddap/info/usnic_ims_4km/index.htmlTable | https://nsidc.org/data/G02156![]() | https://polarwatch.noaa.gov/erddap/rss/usnic_ims_4km.rss | https://polarwatch.noaa.gov/erddap/subscriptions/add.html?datasetID=usnic_ims_4km&showErrors=false&email= | USNIC | usnic_ims_4km |
